My 69Z still has the remains of the tape, it looks like masking tape?

Forgot to mention that Corvettes use masking tape all the time, in fact the Quantra Detail Kits give you some, although I think it is 1/2" wide. Saw lots of original tape when I ran a Corvette Shop for 18 years.

Pretty Sure my Z has 3/4" tape though.

I bought the Quanta kit...http://www.quantaproducts.com/prodinfo.asp?number=01-14

The black tape they provided is 1.5" wide in 67 kit.

I elected not to use it..didn't want to deal with it falling apart..it appears a bit heavier than masking tape.

They also provide a can of spray yellow stencil ink and a stencil for the driveline...didnt use that either. Did drivelines come stenciled?

The bushings were not taped to the frame as previously thought, as with corvettes, the tape was used to cover/seal the bushing bolt holes in the body during the water test, according to Kurt.

?
So GM sealed the radiator support as well as the open cowl mounts?

Pretty sure that was John.
I don't recall the details of what he posted.

Here is the tape that was put on the body for the water test as already stated. Note it is sticky side up. I have to give the credit to John Z, that is were I learned this from in one of his many posts.

Thanks for the photo Mike...had I understood where the tape went I would have installed it.

Hadn't ever seen the topic discussed before..and never noticed the tape on my car..
