I bought a 70 camaro its just a reguler camaro and it needs some rust repair on the front dash metal area. I was wondering if they sell the sheet metal all I need is the top dash are sheetmetal I know they sell the whole dash and cowl as one unit but I think that would be to much work to do. I'm looking for if they sell the dash part only. I'm also looking for the rear speaker sheet metal if they sell it I haven't seen it. The previuse owner cut the spakers holes to add bigger speaker. If you guys know of any place please let me know thanks

I presume the rust is in both corners and extend over the Upper Cowl Chamber. This is pretty much a flat panel area and really doesn't require much to fit new pieces. There are about 3 layers of metal sandwiched in the seam over the Upper cowl just below the windshield corners that generally require attention. About the only way to repair this is to cut the rusted layers and replace it. Any metal replacement into the dash is relatively simple. Although it is curved the panel is flat. I doubt if there are after market items for this; same thing for the rear Deck Panel. For panels you might find an unmolested one from any 2nd Gen year but only 70 had the long vent rear defog unit.

Try contacting Todd at auburncrek@aol.com He had the rear deck panel for sale on ebay. He usually has lots of odd parts like this and will deliver it also. I bought a whole car from him and he brought it to me in Jacksonville, Florida from Northern Indiana. He may have one. Rob
