Stock starter doesn't even begin to fit on my new motor with my Hooker long tube headers so now I need a mini starter. I know a few guys running the CSI ones but they are out of my price range ...So what about the CVR Protorque for $147? Anyone have any troubles with these starters?
Thanks,
Chris

A very good starter, especially for the money.
I've put them on everything from mild 350's to lumpy big blocks.
I usually end up turning them "upside down" from the position they are when received. I've never seen an oil pan/header that they would not fit.
4:1 gear reduction, light weight, low amp draw, gotta love it
I believe the Summit Racing mini-starters are the same CVR Protorque starters...but more cost-effective! graemlins/thumbsup.gif

I put one on over a year ago with no problems starting a 355 with 11:1CR cold or hot. Really cant beat it for the $$.

Nice starter, nice price and they can be positioned to avoid headers. I use one on my small block and I've had it for about 2 years. Highly recommend.
