I am ordering rally wheels for my '67 this week and I just want to double check that everything looks right. I have read over archived posts for hours and I have posted other questions before. I wanted create a new post to ensure that I have accounted for all the variables. I am looking to replace my original wheels, covers, and 80's white walls with something that is going to look good and do a better job of filling the wheel wells without sticking out or rubbing. Yes, I will be getting a set of redlines for the originals as well.

The car: 1967 Camaro
-original front and rear suspension
-original rear end
-drum brakes front and back (so there are NO after market discs)

Rims and Tires I am looking to order:
Front:
-wheel 15X7 chrome rally with 4" backspacing
-tires 215/65/R15 BFG TA
Back:
-wheel 15X8 chrome rally with 4.5" backspacing
-tires 245/60/R15 BFG TA

Note: According the coker rep the powder coated 15X8 have 4" backspacing and the chrome have 4.5" backspacing so I am going with the chrome. All the 15X7 have a 4" backspacing.

Questions:
How are the offsets?
How are the wheel widths to tire widths?
Anyone have the same setup with pictures?

Bump... Should I stay with 15X7 on all 4 corners?

You should be fine with what you have posted below. I run 15x8 on my 68 with 225 in front and 255 in rear. The 215 will be better and that is what I am going with next set because 225 rub at hard turns and bumps. See my car by clicking on my gold name tag at the top left.

This setup worked PERFECT!
I sit about 3/4 of in inch inside the wheel lip to the top of the tire in the rear and almost exactly the same on the front. It is a bit less to the sidewall as it protrudes about another 1/4". I'll post a few pictures now comparing the stock steel wheels and these. I will also add a nice picture and the specs to the wheels and tires thread once I get a nice shot of it outside the garage. Problem is that the rear mono leafs have a bit of a sag to them but that is the next project. I wanted to add these pictures for anyone that comes across this thread in the future. You could also fit 255/60/R15's in the back if you wanted to go wider, just don't forget that they are taller too!

Here are 15x7 & 15x8 with the same tires on mine. Not sure of backspace as they are factory 15x7's & 8" vette wheels.

I found that the back spacing for the 15X8's could be ordered in 4.0 (painted) or 4.5 (chrome) for the camaro/corvette rally wheels from coker tire. With a 245/60 tire you could probably go either way. With a 255/60 you would probably be better off with 4.5 backspacing assuming that all else is original.

Sorry to hijack this thread...but would the sizes talked about here fit if the front of the car is lowered? I want to get a set of rally's to use on the track and can't figure out what to buy.

I have plenty of room in the back...it's the front that's stressing me out.

For the front wheels I have on there now:
18x7
235/40/18 tire
Tire is 25 1/2" tall
5 1/2" backspace (I can't find a 15x7 wheel with this backspace).

With the wheel on the car, I have just about 1" from the bulge of the tire to the inside of the fender lip. The front wheels do barely rub the frame if I'm turning the wheel and go too far. I've gotten used to it, but I guess a narrower tire would be better for the track.

All I can really say is that I would be able to lower MY CAR an estimated additional 1.5" in the front and I would (probably) be safe. Keep in mind that I have the original front suspension (I assume a bit of sag) and the original front drum brakes.
