Hello all, new guy here I hope its ok to ask this here. I bought a 68 Camaro a few weeks ago, just started rounding up parts to put back together. Someone had set it up for a drag car, with a roll bar, fuel cell and spool type rear axle but that's for another time. It has disc brakes on it but I think they are the four piston kind, the calipers are missing but the rotors are still on there. I want disc brakes for sure, is it worth getting the four piston type calipers or should I just get the stuff to change to the one piston version? I have always been told the 4 piston type were not very good. Any help is appreciated.

Don't Know anything about the original 2 piston type caliper. I would say if you want to stay all original stay with them. If not I put the 69/70 nova spindles and calipers on my 68 single piston's and went to 15 inch rally wheel's all around. I don't know if you can get the 14 inch wheels to go over the nova calipers or not If your staying with 14 inch wheels you should find out first

I have never seen 2 piston calipers for a 67-68 they were 4 piston, if you want total orig finf 4 piston, but the car is modified already, change the caliper braclets an use single pistion 69-72 a lot cheaper, and easier to work on. I had a set of 4 pistion, used a set from a 72 monte, to rebuild calipers was 2-3 hundred at the time.
