I'm looking for sources for a 3" dual exhaust system for a 1969 Z/28. I had seen ads for a company called Turbo Tech, but can't find them on the web...
Specs. DZ302 w/Hooker Super Comps, Richmond 6-spd, Currie-built 9" Detroit Locker w/4.30s, Guldstrand slalom suspension (w/relocated upper control arms) & 4-wheel 12 1/4" Wilwood 4-piston disc brakes.

I kinda think a 3" exhaust pipe on a 302 is gonna be counter productive. The 302 doesn't make any lowend as it is and the big pipe is going to detract from the lowend even more. I'd go 2 1/4" (2 1/2" at the most) to the mufflers and then 2" or 2 1/4" out the back.

Tork tech , <I think its spelled this way ?> Advertizes a true bolt in 3" system, haven't see with my own eyes how good the " bolt in" fit is.Look in Super chevy or Chevy High performance Mag.s

The car has a full 2 1/2" setup on it now. It had been hit in the left rear about a year ago and now the left muffler drags on the driveshaft when I brake or downshift really hard. I have had the left head pipe heated and bent 3 times and still can't get it out of the way.

Torque Tech is what I was looking for - no wonder I couldn't find the web site for Turbo Tech...
Thanks a lot!

1DZ302 If you are using headers and if you go with torque Tech set up from headers to the rear. Make sure the pipe that connects to the header collector to the mufflers, has a non welded flange They have them 2 ways welded and non welded. If your headers are not level and parelle to the car. You will need the nonwelded flange. The pipe is mitered alittle so it can be rotated to compensate for the unlevel or nonparelle headers to car. Once set in position . Then have it welded in place. I bought their 3" for my 69 Chevelle SS and fit great. Exit at the factory location at rear bumper.
