Does anyone know what the proper torque spec is for the (4) 1/2-13 bolts that coonect a Muncis tranny to a bellhousing are? Seems that the standard torque setting for a bolt that big is too high for something thats threaded into an aluminum bellhousing.
BTW, the tip of using two long bolts with the heads cut off for alligning the tranny to the bellhousing worked perfectly. Thanks for the great tip pdq and others. Also, when the tranny was about 3/4" from being completely in, I had my woman get in the car, push the clutch ine while I was pushing the tranny and it slid right in. I thought I was gonna have an orgasm right there laying under the car. Yeeehaaaa!!
Almost there......
