Are there any good aftermarket rear ends? I have a 69 camaro with a 10 bolt that is shot, I want to replace with a 12 bolt 3:73 gear ration. I been to the regular places "ebay, craig list" and I have been unable to find a reasonably priced rear end.
Thanks

You're not likely to find a 'reasonably' priced 12-bolt for a 1st gen. A reasonable alternative is the 8.5" setup out of a 72-79 Nova and sister cars, much more common and almost as strong.

The Moser 12 bolt starts at $2010 with an Eaton posi. A very good 8.5 can be built for around $1400. Let me know if you are interested in either one.

If originality isn't an issue at the risk of saying a bad word on here the best bang for the buck is a good quality 9" Ford rear end. Stronger & cheaper than a 12 bolt, easier to get parts for, simple to swap gear ratios especially if you buy a pre-assembled center chuck. My 67 project has a 12 bolt only because it came in the car when I bought it. If I was starting from scratch with a blown up 10 bolt I'd be looking at a good Ford 9" for sure. There's a reason that's what they've been running in ALL makes of cars in Nascar since the beginning of time...

For me it does not need to be correct, my camaro is a z28 tribute car. I would imagine that the rear end will not detract to its value, since the car is not a z to begin with.
The motor is a 350 "do not have all the specs" as the engine is being rebuilt and we are changing some things. The transmission is automatic, would you still suggest the nine inch?

I might have interest on the 12 bolt.
