Skeeter55 Mar 2nd, 09, 04:49 PM WOW i cant believe this. As i was looking at this post i was also watching CNN news and this was on the CNN news... Man maybe this is telling me something. 215 Cave Drive... 17,000 square feet He said he had a bid for $450.000 and only owes $83,000 on it by May..
X33D80 Mar 2nd, 09, 04:53 PM If you put a drive through door through to the back you would have plenty of room back there to work on all your Camaros.
thorpe67RS Mar 2nd, 09, 05:13 PM Wow, almost a million views on ebay.
77thor Mar 2nd, 09, 05:25 PM It looks like it has a long tunnel...... plenty of room to park lots of cars.
camaroman7d Mar 2nd, 09, 05:26 PM That's pretty cool but, it has to be one dusty SOB. Nice to look at but, not something I would want to live in.
hereitis67 Mar 2nd, 09, 08:51 PM during summer or winter it is 66-70 degrees in there.but for deco you need a spray gun to paint rocks.not good for storing cars since it is below ground and it is always moist there in a cave.
RobSS1113 Mar 3rd, 09, 12:28 AM Very cool in a batman kind of way but for sure thats got to have some fire safety problems..!! only 1 way in and out ?? So if there was a Major fire in the front area then theres no way out. But hey, Its a cave !!
and he said the temp in Missouri was ... -10 to 104 .. YEAH right .. I lived there for a year and you guys over exaggerate.. yes its cold but your summers are a walk in the park. Plus at the most you have 2-3 months of 90 degree weather and average humidity. You sweat in the shade in texas
usa1 Mar 3rd, 09, 05:47 AM What about snakes???? I know snakes like rocks!!!!!!,,,,,,and bats!!,what about bats???? I know bats like caves!!!! And what about mold???? I know that mold grows in damp areas!!!!!and what about that smell????i know that animals die and and their remains penetrate through the ground!!!!!and what about poop???? I know animals and people poop and it goes into the ground!!!! And what about chemical waste???? I could go on and on,but i could never live in a cave!!!!!
theChuckster Mar 3rd, 09, 08:08 AM His "plight", that's funny. If he had an offer of 450k and the ballon is 83k is it a "plight". Why no bids on eslay. "We hope that by raising awareness of our plight and possibilities that we will elevate the value of our property..
I am extremely well trained and experienced at reading and studying people, with the intent of discovering their ulterior motives based on laws of probability. All indications are that the sympathy card is being played here for monetary gain.
I guess since Paul Harvey passed on we will never know the rest of the story.

My understanding is the house is in the only opening and the empty space is behind.

He's got three commercial grade dehumidifers runnig 40% of the time. I'm assuming just for the living quarters not the two chambers behind.
Alll on all a really cool place, I admire his courage to build such a unique home.

okiemark Mar 3rd, 09, 08:46 AM the insurance company GEICO should buy it and use it in those Caveman commercials. this could be where those Cavemen live...
Microgiant Mar 3rd, 09, 09:12 AM How do you get a mortgage on a cave in the first place? More insight as to our economy woes...
theChuckster Mar 3rd, 09, 10:28 AM He states he does not have a bank note on it. His balloon due is the final installment of his original owners financing contract. That is what he wants now a conventional bank note. Part of the dilemma is how to set an appraisal on a cave with some two by fours in it. It does not meet the definition of a home. In this circumstance, he had the octuplets, therefore it is his responsibility to make the balloon payment or otherwise he lost that chess match.
