Hey guys, i was out drivin my camaro, here is the combo:
350 4blt
Edel 600cfm Elec choke
Edel Perf RPM intake
HEI distributor
Comp Cams 270 H
Iron Heads 202/160 76cc chambers with 10.2:1 CR w/ Speed Pro .200 Dome forged pistons

forged bottom end, 3 core radiator, Hooker Comp Headers, Flowmaster Dual 40's, TH350 really built good

The PROBLEM, i was trying to a brake torque on a deserted road, and the car would just die when i hit the gas, i noticed it does it a lot when i nail the gas even goin 60 or so, like it stalls out and then picks up over and over, do i need a bigger carb? aluminum heads? thanks so much i really wanna get it runnin good for the track this summer

Here's what I'd do<
1. Check float in carb, don't want fuel to dribble from boosters. Check/change fuel filter.
2. Reset/retune idle mixture screws, use vacuum gauge and adjust for max vacuum.
3. Check to make sure dist vacuum advance is on ported vacuum.
4. Advance base timing alittle, can go as high as 12*-14*. Set it and make a run, if it pings, back the base timing off. Reset idle mixture.
5. Adjust carburetor fuel pump linkage for a min of .015 inch clearance between WOT and its max opening at the pump arm and screw.
6. Make sure there is a fuel squirt at the same time with any minute amount of throttle movement.
7. Make sure there is fresh fuel in tank winter blends in summer suck.
8. If all else fails, you might want to step up the squirter size by two's until stumble is gone, i.e., 25-27-29-31-etc.
9. Check coil output and check for a very blue spark when wire is held off from ground. Could be a bad coil as well as low alternator voltage, something less than 14 volts.

Maybe others here will give ideas..........
