I have a 76 camaro with a 86 305 engine. It has a quadrajet carb. My problem is the engine idles to high. I have the adjusting screw where it is not even touching the side bracket. Is there any other way to lower the idle?

Have you checked for vaccum leaks? is your choke opening up all the way? Have you checked your timing? I recommend you move this to trouble shooting or under the engine threads :). Much more attention will be seen there.

make sure your fast idle cam is lowering when the choke is off. also check the secondaries are closed at idle. ed
