We're just about to go to paint in 10 days and need to know how to do the rockers. Some advice & pictures in books suggests to use black on rockers below long skinny chrome trim and under wide RS side moldings. My car is original 67 RS Convertible (I've owned since new) and was body color on rockers. Restoration parts store staff have pics of black rockers - but on RS/SS cars. Was there a difference? Thinking about using some rock protection on the rockers - advice?
Thanks for help

Wow - thanks Lane. Very clear info & logical too!! Makes good sense to not put black under dark colors.
My car is Tahoe Turquoise - well it will be again in 10 days.
Great information source website.
