I have a question for Jeff, Jim, or others about the driveshaft length for my Tremec conversion.

I just installed a TKO 600 in my 68 big block Camaro using the CMG kit which included driveshaft and crossmember. The instructions say I should have 1/8" to 3/4" of slip yoke exposed behind the tranny rubber boot. I actually have 1.25" with the car sitting on its wheels. Is that too much?
I did not measure the total slip yoke length prior to installation so I don't know how much spline engagement I actually have.

The car has a stock bellhousing and stock 12 bolt rear.

I can't test drive the car to check for vibration because winter won't go away!

Thanks,

PM me your phone number and we'll straighten this out for you. 1.25" is too much. There are a few things that can cause an otherwise proper fitting drive shaft to NOT fit. Frame position is one of them. Don't drive the car until we fix this.
