Just got back from the Detroit Autorama as the cars are being brought in I got into a discussion with Al Mainord About Camaro and Vette engines.
First was a L89 ever installrd in a early Camaro? And what exactly is one? My thoughts were that the L89 is a tri power aluminum head SHP 435/427 for Corvettes. Also there was a discussion of the L79`s as an aluminum head L78. I thought L 79`s were 350/327`s. Any idea on who is correct?

L89 was aluminum head version of 375/396 used in Camaros and maybe others? , but L89 was also aluminum head 435/427 used in '67-'69 Vettes. Both are correct.
