I got my intake in a couple of days ago...I was NOT impressed by this thing out of the box. Every port has some very rough places along the corners between the port walls and port floors within the last 2"-2.5" of the port. I have never seen a intake with ports this cruddy. Should I clean them up with some sanding rolls? Or could the rough castings actually help keep the mixture from seperating? The ports on this thing is huge, and the plenum area is really huge. Am I going to need a lot of accelerator pump capacity to get any throttle response out of this thing? I wish I could post some pics...I would like to see how this thing compares to a vic jr.

I'd send it back and get a Vic Jr or at least clean it up. The ports on the Vic Jr are actually fairly small IMO. They were smaller than the opening to my TFS cylinder heads anyway.

I had no trouble with the stock Speed Demon accel pump calibration. I did go one smaller on the primary squirter though on a hot day with a sticky track.

They must have changed the 7530 Team-G, because the one I have (sitting on my desk)
is one of the better castings I've seen. The ports are smaller then a Victor jr. too. Its pretty
short and has a "flat" look to it for a single plane. Makes me wonder if when Holley bought
them out they changed to the "cheap stuff"! If you can - post some pics.
I woulndt worry about "huge" its still an intake designed for a 350, so it will be fine on your 383.
