muncie 4 speed in a 68 Z - every once in a while the shifter will get hung up and stuck. I looked at the linkage and it looks good. If I use some lubrication on the linkage will this help ? IF so what kind of lubrication should I use ?

I've always used white lithium grease in spray can on Hurst shifters. Have done this with 6 or more shifters with great results. Make sure shifter linkages are adjusted properly using pin to align all levers in neutral postion. Is shifter getting stuck or linkage? Linkages should have smooth plastic bushings and not interfere.

I believe it is the linkage. This causes the shifter to stick.
