View Full Version : where do I find muncie 4 speed parts
phils67camaro Mar 9th, 09, 05:47 PM Hi! I've purchased a used muncie m20 for my 67. Now that I've got my car running I've discovered that the transmission has issues. I've got it scattered on the bench. My question is where should I buy the input shaft, gears and various parts? I understand most are imported. Are they junk? I want to fix it right while its out and I really wonder about the quality of the imported parts. A vender told me that they were all imported, that their parts were good and that I would have no problems with them. I've seen a super overhaul kit that had almost everything except the gears for around $210. Seems like a real buy if its good stuff. Thanks for listening!

69SS 350 5 Speed Mar 10th, 09, 04:00 PM Not to take away from Jody but there is Waynes Transmission Service in Richmond, Missouri. He buys, sells and rebuilds nothing but 4 speeds. (Muincie, Borg Warner and Saginaw). 816-776-6754

Jerome,
That is a different swap, why did you sell your TKO for a Muncie?
ozzie1982 Mar 11th, 09, 12:53 PM Jody did my M-20 and it has worked great. Its like a new transmission. He's also a nice guy and has no problem helping you with the installation. I'd recommend him! Just wish I would have taken his advice and aligned my shifter linkages earlier, haha.
