Has anyone seen a column shift linkage still attached to the steering column and the frame in a manual shift true ss car. Weird. Vin on tranny matches the vin on car. It looks like it was installed factory but never used.

If it's a 69 you're probably seeing the reverse lockout parts. 69 was the first year that had that feature. They all had it but alot of them were removed when headers were installed. Just 1 rod ? A column shift 3 speed will have 2 rods and there was no such thing as a column shift 4 speed.
