:) Heres my plan.... 18 x 10 rears with 5inch b/s ..Narrow diff by 1/2 each side.move shox inboard.
question , will this work? what is the stock diff measurement on a 69?
Is there anything else im missing ?

What is the width of your rear axel flange to axel flange? i have fit a 10" wide rim without moving my shocks inboard. The stock measurement should be 60"

John, mine is standard width rear. With moving my shox in i wanted to add some lowering blocks to rear , and as it is now the rim is a poofteenth off hitting edge of shock mount plate. I thought i could gain more dish by changing backspace too.

I think you will need 5.75" of backspace with a 10" rim on a std. width rear. If you only go 5" you won't be able to lower it that much without hitting your fender ( it will stick out ). You are right about using lowering blocks, the shocks could interfere with the wheels. What about lowering springs?

John , my rear leafs are the hotchkis 1 1/2 but needs to go down another 1 1/2 . With the back space, if you read my original post i wanted to narrow the diff by 1/2 each side to compensate for the 5inch b/s.
I will maybe get these new leafs reset instead of blocks, neater and safer.

I see where you say narrow rear .5". That has to be expensive, just to gain 3/4 of an inch dish. If you have seen a 10" wheel with 5.75" backspace it still looks pretty good.
:beers:
