i have a 2000 camaro v6,my problem is tanny fluid keeps working it way up the dipstick tube and running down on the exhaust manifold. anyone seen this before?

One of two things......it's overfilled, or the vent tube up on top of the trans is clogged up.

.......or someone put the wrong kind of oil in it.....therefore it's foaming up. Are you sure it has the correct kind of fluid?

fluid in it is dexron III, can i get to the vent without dropping the tranny?...thanks for the help so far!

Possibly. Jack the car up and reach up high on the bellhousing. Should be around the upper middle to the upper right (passenger) side. Should be a small hose coming out of it, or it might have a cap style end on it. You should be able to pull it off, clean it and put it back on.
