Just wondering if anyone has experience with the Crane Cams electronic ignition conversion. I am currently running points in my 68 350 and would like to change over, but not to full on distributor, etc. It seems I can keep my stock distributor and install the conversion kit inside.(I'll add the coil too). I'm not a racer, just a cruiser. I saw this in the Spring 2003 Musclecar review and it seems like a logical upgrade. Also...I'm installing a tic-toc-tach and Classic Industries says that full-on electronic ignition will burn out the tach!!??? Any advise or comments?

I also highly recommend Dave's Small Body HEI conversion. He did mine - looks stock and has MSD components.
