I put a deep pan on my 68 which has a TH 350, now i hold the crossmember up and it looks like the "lip" of the crossmember will hit the pan and not let the bolts line up on the mount. before i cut anything have any of you guys run into this? I did a search but it came up with everything but this. any help would be great! thanks!

If I remember, the crossmember does cover up the rear stock pan bolts, but did not touch the stock pan, maybe 1/4 inch clearance.

The stock pan was not lower than the crossmember for protection from armadilloes, speed bumps, and curbs, etc.

If an alum pan, I take it the cooling ribs are filling the gap? If they are, grind them off clearance. If a stamped steel pan I don't see why it does not fit. Might have to trim & weld the crossmember.

Yeah the pan is lower than the member. i thought the member sat below the stock pan. i guess it will be cut and fit. the only other choice would to be talk with Brian (Drag Fabricator) he makes some real nice tube ones,i bet they would'nt hit!

True, have him make you one, or maybe he'd make two if he has enough material.
