Depends on which Wilwood you buy. I found the front ones on Ebay. They were the cheapest price. I bought the back from Summit. Depending on what rear end you are running you might find them on Ebay. I have a ford 9".

I saw a set of Wilwoods on a car that were a few years old and the bolts and brackets were rusting. That is the only reason I didnt by Wilwood.

Dave,
They were an easy install in one afternoon. What I liked about them is they have a complete hub assembly that works with the drum brake spindle. The only thing that you need besides the kit are the brakelines. I think all mine total was around $800. Kit 140-2285 BD

As odd as this sounds, when I bought the car it was already backhalfed, and it had drum brakes on the front and discs on the back. The rear brakes were Wilwood, so that's why I went with Wilwood for the front. To be honest, I'm not sure of the brake line sizes. Wilwood should have a tech line. I would think the rotors would show with the Drag stars. Do they now? Another thing to consider with the Wilwoods is that the calipers are slightly larger than some others. I was going to buy the Billet Specialties wheels like Mike, but Larry Hodge (the wheel vendor) informed me that the Billet Specialties wheels would not clear the Wilwood calipers. Hope this helps

I had the same concern with the calipers hitting my new rims also. Baer has a templete on there website for their calipers and it fits inside your rim and then you can see if the calipers will clear. I would assume Wilwood would have the same templete. If it isnt on there website then give them a call for the templete.

As far as line size goes when I bought my kit ( Baer ) it came with the braided lines and they were 3/16" ( #3 ). All you will have to purchase is the adapter from 1/4" to 3/16" to use the new braided lines or if it doesnt come in the kit then just use your existing braided lines.

Do you have Wilwoods...

I have the wilwoods on my nova the ones with the polished billet calipers.

My pro street im building has discs on it but there not aftermarket, my rear is a 9" but my front are "dont fall down now" is an amc pacer front crossmemeber and brakes rack n pion etc. orginal frame rails but the mid 70's pacers front clips where great old hot rodder secrets they really fit the late 40's and early fifty's chevy cars and trucks nicley with minimal cutting. But id love to run a wilwood or aerospace components brakes system on it but the spindles are differnet than your typical mustang 2 peice, the brakes on it are great, and i'll post some pics of what i did to my brakes i actually covered and smoothed up the cut out area in the clipers to clean the look up!

Sorry you lost me with all this brake talk LOL .For real I'm in the middle of 2 deals.Trying to buy a car is so hard.. One guy I have to twist his arm to get some answers. If he wasn't in Maryland I would just go to the car and answer my own questions. The other one which I looked at today told me to come back over the weekend. He is notsure if he wants to sell it. I'm certainly not dogging the Billet Specialty wheels...they are super nice! They were my 1st choice. They just didn't fit my application. It could have been the backspacing I needed. A very knowledgeable guy about those wheels is Larry Hodge. Both Mike and I bought our wheels from him and got great deals!
