Hi guys. Does anyone have any flownumbers for the Chevy castiron Bowtie head?? (034)
Any figures, stock, mild porting, full port, would help a great deal.
Thanks a million http://www.camaros.net/forum/smile.gif

only place I have seen numbers on 034s. (actually,, I have seen one other test in CHP,, but I can't find it, numbers were close)

Found a couple of others:
First design bowtie untouched - intakes peaked at about 230 at .5 and exts were 140-144 from .4 to .7
Second design - untouched
intakes 220 from .4 to .7 and exts 160 in that same range.
Fully worked - 276-282 from .5 to .7 and exts were 200 in that same range. They had the intake ports moved to the headbolt area and needed the comp sleeves.
The CHP test (dec96) intakes peaked at about 245 at .5 and exts were about 170 from .4 to .6

Thank you very very much 89rs400 http://www.camaros.net/forum/smile.gif
My heads are the early version and I have ported them mildly and fitted them with new valves, thin brons guides and radiusd seats.
Did the article in CHP say anything about the valves on the head they tested??
The difference from the other tests seems a little strange, or could "neck down" vales be the cause?
Again.. Thanks a million!!!

I did not see anything specific about the valves. it did say that they had a 70degree throat cut, .060" intake seat and .075" exhaust seat.
