View Full Version : EBay seller Tamraz 68camaroconvert Mar 13th, 09, 10:54 PM Anyone had dealings with this vendor on ebay? Garfields Maro Mar 13th, 09, 11:13 PM Yeah, a couple times, no problems....what's up? 67forever Mar 13th, 09, 11:13 PM I bought a locking gas cap and i think a clutch fork from them. Had to replace the clutch fork with a GM one but that was my screw-up. Only dealt with them the once, but i dont have any complaints, fast shipping and i was happy with what i recieved. Steiner Mar 13th, 09, 11:21 PM I've purchased several things from them. They have their own website you can order from as well. What they do is put better prices on eBay than on their site but charge more shipping. They do take awhile to ship sometimes. DRclassic.com has more original-type stuff and a good online catalog that you can download. Same stuff as Tamraz but in most cases better prices. Unfortunately, if you order something over the web from drclassic and it's not in stock, they delete it instead of backordering. I guess you have to call them to backorder stuff. 68camaroconvert Mar 13th, 09, 11:33 PM Yeah, a couple times, no problems....what's up? Gave them the buy it now price for a part middle of last month. Called to confirm they had it in stock before I put the bid in. The have the money from paypal and now they can't seem to find it and I have sent two messages this week and gotten no response. They indicated on the Ebay ad that they had 100 of these parts. Gut feeling, they placed the ad and confirmed they had it on the phone call and no one actually looked on the shelf. parkbrau Mar 14th, 09, 02:53 AM Call them on the phone Bob. I have dealt with them and had no problems. 67motorcat Mar 14th, 09, 05:25 AM I have purchased lots of stuff from them. They are a straight shooting company, but they only have one guy handling all the internet sales so sometimes he gets backed up.They also have a walk-in retail store.they will make it rite eventually. Rocketrod Mar 14th, 09, 05:25 AM Call them on the phone Bob. I have dealt with them and had no problems. x2... DOUG G Mar 14th, 09, 05:46 AM Delt with them a few times and no issues. If you feel you have a complaint you can file with PayPal who will get things straight. Go to PayPal and click on Resolution Center then follow the promps. foreverlookin Mar 14th, 09, 06:40 AM Don't be in a hurry for the parts.....took them 8 weeks to get me something as they told me originally they had it in stock when it was in fact back ordered. jr68 Mar 14th, 09, 07:49 AM I bought my cowl hood from them no issues Nantooch Mar 14th, 09, 09:21 AM Bought a few items from them with no issues. 68camaroconvert Mar 14th, 09, 09:23 AM Don't be in a hurry for the parts.....took them 8 weeks to get me something as they told me originally they had it in stock when it was in fact back ordered. So far most folks seem comfortable dealing with them. My problem with them is I don't feel they have straight up with me and I have my car in the paint shop waiting on this part. Can't do final assembly on the front of the car. I am blowing through a bunch of time I had set up to work on the car. IDS_Bill Mar 14th, 09, 11:37 PM Bought some window rollers from them - no issues stope4 Mar 15th, 09, 05:52 AM My experience with them is they are selling mostly repop and they do place ads on items that end up backordered. If your car is waiting on this part, maybe you should ask for your money back and get it from another vendor. If their ad says they had hundreds of these parts, they misled you and Ebay and PayPal will side with you. whitesoxfbody Mar 15th, 09, 09:56 AM Tamraz doesn't have a ton of inventory. They buy a lot of their stuff from DRClassic since they're in such close proximity. I bought a bunch of stuff for a 72 Camaro from DRClassic because they said they would beat the prices from Tamraz. It's all the same stuff, just different salesman. I will say when speaking to Tamraz they were more courteous, DRClassic was OK but a couple of them had attitudes. It may been because I was wheelin'anddealin' between the two. Steiner Mar 15th, 09, 10:12 AM Tamraz doesn't have a ton of inventory. I've saved quite a few bucks the past couple of weeks buying it that way. bnbpaintballer Mar 15th, 09, 10:27 AM I got a ton of stuff from them all at one time and the only thing was, a lot of stuff was back ordered and they didnt tell me. It wasnt a big deal as I was in no hurry and they didnt take too long on getting it to me, it would have just been nice to know ahead of time. I still have not used one thing they sent, hopefully in a month or so things will be going back together. I would use them again. 68camaroz28 Mar 15th, 09, 12:34 PM So far most folks seem comfortable dealing with them. I am blowing through a bunch of time I had set up to work on the car. Sorry but it is much easier to call someone and takes less time than emailing. And with cell phones it should be very easy. Give the guy a call! I'm sure they messed up but also sure if you call they can assist to get this worked out. I have purchased several things from them (not on ebay) when I lived within 30 min. of their establishment. The guy (owner) was great to work with and assisted me on getting a exhaust system corrected at of course no charge. Good luck and can't wait to see the car when completed (please post pic's). :beers: yellow69RS Mar 15th, 09, 12:43 PM Tamraz doesn't have a ton of inventory. From what I've heard D and R was a better place to deal with when Dottie and Robert were involved. If I had to guess I'd say Tamaz get things drop shipped from the same places as D and R. I think there is something to be said about dealing with site sponsors. Especially when the supplier says "Oh yeah we have it in stock." I hate it when my time gets wasted. When you set up vacation to work on the project and you end up losing the week because a vendor isn't straight up about something its truely frustrating. I left myself vulnerable when I counted on the word of a vendor I wasn't familiar with. The folks that have noted that I may do better by using supporting advertisers are probably correct. al8apexer Mar 17th, 09, 09:35 AM this morning I recieved a response vis the Ebay communication, email, that the product was not in stock, I called prior to giving them the buy it now price, and that the supplier was out of stock. Removal of Mutual Feedback Withdrawal This is the best thing ive seen ebay do!!! "Tamraz" who is a big seller on ebay left me negative for me leaving neutral and it lead to my account being suspended...They had over 1300 negatives they left for anyone that even left them a neutral, which can be found on "goofbay.com" without doing all the search... I think what they STILL do to this day is wrong and as dirty as it gets...If they dont have a part in stock, but continue to sell it and then collect the money, but never send the part out and they never contact you,and then when you do,they refund your money minus shipping cost you paid...that deserves, at a minumum , a neutral, and then they retaliate with a negative they still do this to anyone that leaves anything besides possitive, they retaliate.and sometimes they send you a notice to pay and when you dont respond(because you know they just refunded you the money because they didnt have the product) ebay removes the neutral or negative you left and keeps it on your history... Im personally happy about these changes,if your a seller and you do everything proper, you shouldnt have to worry about a negative... Tamraz, till this day, only leaves positive if you leave positive,if you leave neutral or negative, you will recieve a NEGATIVE! They are deceptive and I would NEVER buy from them,I had over 50-100 other buyers that had the same issue and we went round and round back in the day,and I proved him to be a POS... I can see this getting and continueing to be a real pain. This seller is definetly off my list. :( Hey, maybe you'll get both. What's the part? I ordered two wireless hard drives from a vendor once who had ten listed and only received one. He said he'd ship the other one. A few days later, I got an email from ebay saying the seller had ended their auction and that if I had paid for an item not received to use the Paypal system to report it. I requested only the portion covering the item not received but received a full refund for both units. I emailed the guy several times wanting to pay him for the one but he didn't respond. I even tried paypalling him the money but his account would not accept payments. Still doesn't make up for the p.o.s. K5 I bought a few years ago though. 68camaroconvert Mar 19th, 09, 08:21 AM Hey, maybe you'll get both. What's the part? I will just return it but, I see a shipping and handling charge in both directions coming at me. Hopefully any comment this seller might make about my e bay purchase history will be out weighed by the comments of others. parkbrau Mar 20th, 09, 02:05 AM Keep us in the loop on your feedback Bob. 68camaroconvert Mar 20th, 09, 12:33 PM Keep us in the loop on your feedback Bob. the part showed up this morning, via priority mail no less. I avoid these types of vendors. In the future you can ask for their address and look at the location on gmaps So did you Google this supplier before you made this post? They're working from a industrial area about 30 minutes from my front door and have been for 25 years. It's quite possible they have out grown this space as I see it as small for the type of business they are in. I think I might have used them once way back and their customer service didn't make enough of an impression on me to use them again. Jeff Steiner Apr 3rd, 09, 12:01 AM Hey, I see what your frustration is now. I came within an inch of buying something from them yesterday as I have purchased from them in the past. Some of those items took a couple of weeks to arrive. The quantity available said "10". The auction listing however said "this is a pre-sell item" and goes on to state that eBay says they must list it as such if they do not actually have it on hand. After that, it says if you need the part immediately, don't buy it. Most of us would look at the the quantity listed and fire away without reading all the stuff in the auction that didn't pertain directly to the part. I went with DR Classic's eBay store for the part I needed instead since it clearly stated "we do not pre-sell items, it's ready to ship". Their eBay prices are better than their website prices and Tamraz's prices since they almost always include free shipping. By the way, if you haven't been keeping up with eBay's policies, a seller cannot leave negative feedback for a paying bidder. The part had arrived at my home after it had been agreed to cancel the order and refund, Tamraz arranged for a pick at no cost to me to allow the return of the part. The problem appears to be that they did not actually have the parts in inventory and couldn't or didn't get them in the time frame that was originally agreed too. At this point I will very likely purchase elsewhere in the future. Their customer service was polite but, as far as a correct representation of their ability to deliver the parts within a resonable time frame they came up short. This delay cost me personal time, basically a vacation that couldn't be changed, that I was going to use to work on my car. As most here are aware that a lost couple of weeks can cost you months on the completion of our projects.
