Got a stupid qustion did the split bumper come out on any other year camaro from 70-73 other than the 70 1/2 got a friend that told me the factory put on 72 and 73 but I thought it was only on the 70 1/2 so any info whould be great thanks. 77hunter

The RS Option (Split Bumper) was available from 70 to 73. I personally don't like the looks of the RS option on these cars.

Actually I don't mind the looks of the Custom front with the short end bumpers modification. To me the front end looks cleaner with the turn signal in the Valance rather with the large round RS signals up front. At 1st this modification was criticized and looked upon as taboo but today the customized appearance is widely accepted.

Note the Endura nose piece. Why they used Endura is beyond me as it Flexes and
generally looks like crap and cost 10's more to repair if dinged.

As you see it looks Great and appeals to many early 2nd Gen enthusiasts.
I like it with the larger egg crate grill from either a 72 or 73.

This is my 70Z STD Custom Front with a 72 Large Egg crate Grill.
I found the small egg crate to be weaker and broke it when I hit a Bird.
I do prefer the the muscular look of the larger egg crate.
