I have been looking into swapping TPI into my camaro. I picked up an LT1 intake, sensors, throttle body, fuel rail and injectors. I also picked up a small body computer controlled HEI.

I was thinking about using the holley 950 computer and harness to run everything, what do you guys think?

Also, what should I do for fuel delivery? Should I buy a tank from Rockport or aeromotive or just use an external pump? How do I plumb the fuel lines? Can I use the stock 3/8 steel lines and some type of fittings?

personally I like the holley computer
external pump is ok, intank prob'ly better though
3/8" line is fine
http://www.racetronix.com might be able to help with what ya need
what year LT1? do the fuel rails have a crossover tube? if so that's 94-7 and better setup
stock 48mm tb will support plenty of hp and the stock 24lb injectors will too

good luck!

It is from a 96 firebird. I was wondering about the stock 48mm throttle body and 24# injectors. Should I change to a 58mm throttle body and 30# injectors? My engine is a 383 with aluminum heads and about 10.5:1 compression and L82 cam(450/.460 Dur 224/224 at .050 with a 114 lobe center).

Also, there are a couple of ports for hoses on the stock throttle body, are they for emissions or do I need them?

You do know that manifold doesn't bolt on to a standard small block, right? It can be machined but will cost some money, plus it doesn't have access for a distributor. That also can be modified, but starts making it an expensive swap.

The Holley, Accel Gen VII, or FAST will all work great.

I have a big hammer!! It has helped make everything else "fit" on my camaro so far!! :D

I got the LT1 stuff pretty cheap, so I figure with the modification costs it still works out OK. I could do this really cheap if I use a "730" GM ECM, chip and harness, but I figured maybe I'd spend a couple of bucks on the computer.

What about fuel delivery...
> New tank with in tank pump(Expensive!)?
> External pump?
> What about fuel lines?
