here's my current combo.
355 9.3-1 comp.
Dart Iron Eagles ( 180 cc)
224-234 @.050 112 LSA cam 495-510 with 1.6 (hyd)
weiand stealth
750 VS
turbo 350
2300 stall 3.07 gear 26"tall tires.
cheater kit ..will spray 150 to it.

noe i'm thinking of switching to either an performer RPM or air gap RPM ( is there any proven HP advantage to the air gap)

the cams i'm considering are
the comp extreme solid series
XS 268s 1600-6000 230-236 110 LSA
or
XS274S 200-6400 236-242@.050 510-510 110 LSA
does anyone have experience with these cams ? also what about spraying these cams with the 110 LSA ?

I'm going to loosen up the converter to 3200

thanks for any input
Mike

I'd change gears out back long before anything else. A set of 3.73's would make a big difference getting out of the hole.

I take it you race at Osceola? The Berger all Chevy show will be at Martin on Friday for a closed track Chevy only session. I'll probably be there (if I get my new tires my then). Shoot me an email if you go I'd be interested in catching up with any other TC members . . .

The difference with the air gap is that with air passing through the manifold as it does do to the design. The temp of the runners is cooled allowing for somewhat cooler air to enter the cylinders. Cooler air equals densor air equals better air fuel mixture equals better hp.

Havent seen any real difference in power between the RPM and the air-gap on the dyno, you'd be lucky to see 2-3hp.

Eric, the engine is apart for now so i won't make it. Yes i run at Osceola. I'll shoot you an e-mail.

67rs502, i was thinking that, but had never seen dyno results. thanks.

anyone with opinions on the spray and a 110 LSA ?

Out of curiosity, what kind of times were you getting out of your current combo without spray?

I'm guessing mid to upper 13's with your engine & gearing...
