I will be looking at this car this week. I am not that familiar with 2nd generations. Owner says the original hood has been cut up--scoop is gone. I've looked for a new hood but all show a standard hood. Was the Z hood different than a standard? Or, a standard with the scoop trim? If so, is the scoop available?

The OEM standard hood has all the scoop holes and cut out in the bracing under the hood. I don't know about the re-pop hoods though.

Have you checked eBay for a Z28 hood? I see many pop up under $100, or did you mean the hood is just missing the scoop?

I have the 78 Z28 the scoop is a tear drop.. Mine is original
