I have a 88 camaro w/2.8L and auto, I am wanting to make into a bracket race car, but I cant find anybody with performance parts for the 2.8L engine. Could you help me find part or tell who to contact for these info

The 2.8 engines are one of the worst engines Chevy ever made and are notorious for grenading bottom ends. The stock parts seem to be more than they can handle after they get some miles on them which is probably why nobody makes performance stuff for them. If it's going to be stricktly used for racing and passing emissions, etc is not an issue I'd go with a V8. You will also have to swap the transmission but you may be able to sell off your V6 engine & trans to offset some of the cost. It's still cheaper than blowing up a 2.8 every other weekend... What happened to the 76 Camaro you had last week you wanted to do the same thing with ? At least that one will already have pulleys, brackets, PS pump, etc that will bolt up to a V8.
