I read somewhere about some blocks where the casting number was not cast but that area of the block was machined and the number was stamped on the block. I have a friend who has one of these blocks and it is a 406 casting (stamp) and I was just trying to find out what the reason for this was. Anyone have any information on this? Thanks in advance.
