I know the brackets are different. Unreal Mar 17th, 09, 10:49 AM From the factory, the pumps were different. On the s/b, the low pressure return line comes into the reservoir from the rear. On the b/b, it comes into the reservoir from the side ( lower right hand side as you view it from the front of the car) You can make the s/b one work, by carefully bending the tube. I can't remember exactly how it it bent, but I know it will work, as I had one on my b/b before I picked up the "correct" b/b pump. Depending on what you are doing, you can modify yours, or pick up the correct one. (pricey) I still have that modified pump at home. If no one chimes in with a better description or pic, I'll dig out my modified one and report to you. Problem is I cannot remember how it was before I bent it. Also, the p/s brackets are unique to 69. Later years will fit and function, but are not correct. Depending on whether you are trying to put the correct b/b stuff on your car, or if you just want it to be functional, will make a big difference in cost. I know I have the later b/b brackets (2 piece) , and at least 2 of the 3 piece 69 brackets...maybe all three, I'd have to look. PM if interested. windycity1 Mar 17th, 09, 04:16 PM Thanks alot for the info Gary, that was a big help> Trick1 Mar 22nd, 09, 07:09 AM sorry tired |
