Has 1 pin and the pistons are 2 1/16th. Looks like they are 67-68 firebird. thanks, RJ67RS/SS Mar 21st, 09, 11:33 AM I almost bought a set with those numbers for my Camaro and found out they were for Chevelle, GTO etc. Was told they had a bigger bore piston than Camaro jl8z28 Mar 21st, 09, 02:08 PM The numbers on my JL8 are5452284 and 5452281 Vintage 68 Mar 21st, 09, 02:40 PM I almost bought a set with those numbers for my Camaro and found out they were for Chevelle, GTO etc. Was told they had a bigger bore piston than Camaro  GM book lists them as 1967 Olds (Cutlass), Pont. (Tempest) and Buick (Skylark) - with an application for 1967 ChevyII option also. One note lists as 'large bore also - but I can't imagine a 1967 ChevyII needing that much 'clamp'... ;) There are oftern odd crosses in reference material - could be the castings are the same, but final machining was different ??? cpodeep Mar 22nd, 09, 03:36 PM The casting number off my Feb 67 car are: 5455530 & 5455533. I have the 5455533 out in the garage.....I suspect the 5455530 is on the subframe that I have in storage. JohnZ Mar 29th, 09, 10:52 AM There are oftern odd crosses in reference material - could be the castings are the same, but final machining was different ??? Yes. Each raw casting for the 4-piston calipers was machined into two or three finished PART numbers (depending on the application, inner or outer, hose inlet and bleeder locations, etc.), none of which appear on the finished part. :beers: |
