I've tried the VHT satin clear on my intake and it doesn't look right--it has areas that appear to be a very light tan color. I was very careful with prep and spraying but this won't cut it.

I now plan to take it to the powdercoater tomorrow. He wants $150 for a two-stage aluminum/clear or $100 for a single stage. The Air Gap intake is in great shape but stains easily.

Does anyone have pics of an aluminum colored powdercoated intake?

Even better, anyone have a recommendation of what color to choose to keep it looking like natural aluminum?

This wont help you much but I'm taking my intakes to be coated in the chrome type finish in the VERY near future. I'll post before and after pics.Iv done a lot of research on it and there are a ton of color and texture options out there for powder coating.
