Ok it is a 96 3.8 series 2. I changed all the plugs and plug wires. When it is in park or neutral and rev engine, the emgine will surge around 3500 rpm's. When in drive it doesn't have any power and can't smoke tires anymore(bummer). I am getting the following codes.

Ok I have a long list of codes I am getting. Thinking most of it is vaccuum issues but not sure. Going to replace all of them in next week or so. Here is what I am getting as far as codes so maybe someone can help more.

Evap system flow during non-purge condition
Explanation: The ECM has detected vacuum flow to the fuel tank pressure sensor during a system sealed condition.
Possible causes: failed canistor purge solenoid
failed FTP sensor

MAP/BARO or MAF sensor condition
explanation: vehicles have one or more of these components.
engine load or the AIR olumn entering the engine is measured by these components. The computer has recognized a return signal error.
Probable cause: Vacuum hose off, cracked, or passage blocked
Engine mechanical timing condition
Throttle body intake tube loose, off, or cracked
MAP sensor defective
MAF sensor defective or dirty

Cylinder misfire detected- random cylinders
Explanation: The PCM monitors the crankshaft speed and has detected a misfire condition
Probable cause:
Ignition system faults- spark plugs, ignition wires, coil
Vacuum leak
injector fault
high or low fuel pressure

EGR valve pintle position circuit
Explanation: The EGR pintle position was 10% of the expected position
Probable cause:
Failed EGR valve
Open or short circuit condition

Heater condition( heated oxygen sensor bank 1 sensor 1)
Explanation: The PCM monitors the O2 sensor heater. The computerhas recognized failure in this circuit.
Probable cause:
O2 sensor defective
Poor connection at O2 sensor
Check circuit fuse

heated 02 sensor bank1 sensor 1
explanation:
The PCM module uses the 02 sensor to calculate air/fuel ratio in the exhaust
Probable cause:
O2 sensor defective
fuel system running rich or lean (check other codes first)
Engine misfire condition - repair
fuel pressure very high or low- fuel pump or pressure regulator.

So where do I go from here with all these codes? I am sure it something I am missing, good thing I have a friend that is a good friend of someone that owns a junk yard, might be playing alot of hit and miss with this one.

first clear all codes than drive it till light comes back on and go from there. first change or at least take fuel filter off and blow through it or just change it.o2 sensors will lean out if not enough fuel getting to engine.maybe a bad maf will cause it also. do you have a k&m reusable filter on it. than you put too much oil in it making the maf not read right take carb cleaner and clean grid off of oil. take fuel pressure test. pressure should be 48-55 psi.

Have you changed the air filter. Induction system, any air leak between MAF and engine
can cause those codes

are you sure you don't have a couple of plug wires crossed. did you gap the plugs.
first things first....lol
was the car running that bad before you started the tune up or did all this start after the tune up?

No mods yet. There is a screw missing from the MAF sensor. I am going to put that in this weekend. The IAT sensor wires got broke off and I extended them and connected them back up. The car was missing a little when I bought it but had power and would get up and go. Then one day when it was raining it started running like crap and I barely made it home. I replaced plugs and wires one at a time so don't think wires are crossed. Plugs and wires made no change. I even changed one coil and will change the others in next couple days. I am just baffled as there are so many different things that could cause this. I am going to change fuel filter also. O I forgot to mention that when it started running rough when it was raining the air intake tubing was loose right before screen so think I may have gotten some water in system. Could that have affected the MAP or MAF sensor?

yes it could blow it off or use carb cleaner.the wires to iat did you use shrink wrap on them. any moisture or water that got into them will cause it also.
