This '67 Camaro coupe featured one of George's floral Mod Top installations. The young lady was sporting / wraped in 3 different colours of the vinyl. George offered an installation service in North Hollywood, or you could purchase a complete kit ( I'm really not sure why - but it was the 60's ) for installation by your local GM Dealership. The Mod Top kit contained a precut hand sewn Mod Top vinyl panel, adhesive, trim strips in matching colours, chrome clips, trim strip attachment screws, a pattern for aligning the top panel to the drip moldings & rear window, and installation instructions. Very weird . . .:p

There were several patterns. Paizely, Crazy Dasies, and others. And they had front stripe kits also.

I saw a few of those paisley tops on things aound here, and lepard and zebra and some others. Don't remember any on Camaros, more like big Buicks and Caddys.

I remember seeing paizely on a cougar once. Weird. LSD was pretty popular back then too though.

Sam was always the real talent, George was just a showbiz man.

A friend of mine Kurt McCormick owns and has restored Sam's Buick and several other of Barris' cars in his collection. His black Harry Westergard '41 Buick and maroon '41 Caddy were just featured on "MY CLASSIC CAR" in early '08.
Here is a link to the episode: http://www.myclassiccar.com/episode/12/08/
I sometimes can't believe how many Barris cars he has now.......
