I am working on a AL4 front bench seat. I was able to remove the arm rest but I can't get the seat backs off. I have seen post about where they talk about removeing the seat backs but there is no detail instructions how to do it. I have the e-ring keeper off of the side post but I can't get that heavy metal hing over that post to remove the backs. If anyone has any experience recovering a bench seat I would greatly appreciate some pointers. It is a 67 with deluxe interior.

It may take a while for an answer to this one, bench seats are uber rare.

I must be in unchartered territory here. It looks like the inside hinge is the nut I will need to crack. I took some of the seatcover off the seat back and didn't find anything. I should be able to get at the hinge by removeing the back of the cushion seatcover.
Am I the only one with a bench seat or has everyone farmed this job out?

I am reviving this post in hopes some one may have some experience with the front bench seat in a 67.
