Is the plastic gear behind the ignition lock that moves the rod to the ignition switch availble from any of the aftermarket sources or does GM still offer this item? Ive´heard that Rick´s Camaro has them...any other?

GM still offers it for tilt steering columns, not sure about non tilt. If you can't find one I can dig one up used....

Turns out that's where I got mine, not from GM.

It turned out that GM still offer this item, got mine from Selman Chevrolet in Orange, CA. They had it in stock. P/N 7811154.
