Skeeter55 Mar 28th, 09, 06:15 PM Not at all its pefect... Larry B Mar 28th, 09, 06:16 PM no if the front a little lower camaroman7d Mar 28th, 09, 06:20 PM Very subjective question. It is all a matter of opinion. I personally likethem as low as possible. Vegas69 Mar 28th, 09, 06:23 PM Is it a 4x4?:D Pro-Street69Camaro468 Mar 28th, 09, 06:24 PM I hate to say it but if its pro-street I think its a little high.I personaly don't like to see much tire...How much adjustment do you have left you can flip flop the lower shock mounts. But all said do you like it thats all that matters. http://i260.photobucket.com/albums/ii15/davidcalligan/PICT0528.jpg Pro-Street69Camaro468 Mar 28th, 09, 06:26 PM Is it a 4x4?:DThis should have a LOL after it it is all personal opinion 4x4 is a little harsh..... Skeeter55 Mar 28th, 09, 06:29 PM This should have a LOL after it it is all personal opinion 4x4 is a little harsh..... Better yet wheres that stirring the pot symbol at ... It dose look better lowered like Dave's. JimM Mar 28th, 09, 06:36 PM At first I thought it looked good, but yes... How tall are those tires? tillman Mar 28th, 09, 06:36 PM Ok.I will lower to the top of the rim and post a new pic. Thanks Guys fatblock Mar 28th, 09, 06:44 PM At first I thought it looked good, but yes... How tall are those tires? x2^.More sidewall and tucked under imho. tillman Mar 28th, 09, 07:14 PM Tires are 29x12.5x15 fatblock Mar 28th, 09, 08:12 PM Tony..seeing how this is posted in pro street..33x18 and a backhalf would be in order to fit that bill. Imo..anything less is up to the individual and how they see the total package. Anyhoo..dropping the ride height will look cool from the side and fill the wheel well up...but the Pro Street guys flat out rule from the rear with the steam rollers/wheelie bars and chutes in my honest opinion only.:) JimM Mar 28th, 09, 08:17 PM 29"? ok then, it needs to be lower. A lot lower (4"?) if you have room in the wheelwells. R/T Mar 29th, 09, 06:22 AM I would lower it about 1" Did you cut the quarter panel to fit those tires ?? Blade Mar 29th, 09, 07:32 AM here is mine. this is a old pic. The car has settle some. I gotta take some new ones. http://i213.photobucket.com/albums/cc184/Matts01ES/leavinforinstall001a.jpg prostreet69camaro Mar 29th, 09, 08:11 AM It doesnt look to bad to me, but if it could come down a couple more inches. http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj16/prostreet69camaro/DSC09755.jpg http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj16/prostreet69camaro/DSC09771.jpg tillman Mar 29th, 09, 10:05 AM The reason I went with 29 tall tires is so I would not have to cut the wheel wells.I want bigger tires but also a back seat. 77thor Mar 29th, 09, 10:56 AM IMO. I like the height, as is. But I'm old-school, I like a car 1 or 2 inches higher in the back. 69 SKUNK Mar 29th, 09, 11:10 AM Me too, but I still like 15" wheels. Still stuck in the 60s I guess. Bottom line, set it where YOU like it. If you build it based on some one else's ideas, you will always second guess yourself. JMO tillman Mar 29th, 09, 11:58 AM Thanks for all the opinions guys. You can follow the build here. Thanks Again Tony http://www.pro-touring.com/forum/showthread.php?t=52736 PRO 48 Fleetline Mar 29th, 09, 03:16 PM Perfect height is the wheel well right even or a smidge above the top of the wheel, I think ride height is sooo important on builds in making or breaking the look of the car a few inches changes the whole atitude of the car! I pretty much designed my car around the stance, of course im running air ride but had to cut my drive shaft tunnel out and build a new one for only 2"s of extra clearance but i think its worth it! Dougs72Nova Mar 29th, 09, 03:24 PM Looks good to me as is. It's only a 12.5 tire so i would not say it's pro street. If you lower it at all, i wouldn't go more than an inch. tillman Mar 29th, 09, 03:27 PM I agree pro48.Could you post a pic of your build? Thanks Tony PRO 48 Fleetline Mar 29th, 09, 04:45 PM Keep us posted on your ride sounds like a fun project! I've been told from ProTouring guys that because I don't have 17" wheels and fuel injection that I am not ProTouring. I posted on general restoration and received a reply that I am more pro-Street. Now I've been told that since my tires are only 12.5" wide, I am probably not pro-street. Will somebody help me find where I belong? LOL. Thanks guys! PRO 48 Fleetline Mar 29th, 09, 05:16 PM Well if thats the ? thats any easy one! Let see if i can help: a true Pro Touring car is a car set up for corner carving, with at least a 17" wheel and over sized brakes sway bars etc and some are mini tubbed to fit the larger tire sizes not so much wheel diameter but tire sizes in general heres an example! but overall a pro touring is a car set up for ideal corner carving and usually big power with it. Like Fesler's car here. http://i229.photobucket.com/albums/ee87/Fleetline48/GoodGuys2008048-1.jpg http://i229.photobucket.com/albums/ee87/Fleetline48/GoodGuys2008047.jpg Pro Street: Like this has to be a narrowed rear end period! made up with usually larger tires over 14"s wide etc. Wheel tubs, thats the basic's of pro street some will argue you need blowers cage etc but a true pro street is a tubbed back half or tube chassis car. Like such: http://i229.photobucket.com/albums/ee87/Fleetline48/Customcolummount074.jpg http://i229.photobucket.com/albums/ee87/Fleetline48/Customcolummount077.jpg Modern Pro Street: This consist of A back halfed pro street car that is running at least an 18"-20 Wheel on a newer style mickey radial with low profile sidewalls to it like these! http://i229.photobucket.com/albums/ee87/Fleetline48/Customcolummount099.jpg http://i229.photobucket.com/albums/ee87/Fleetline48/Customcolummount095.jpg Im sure ive missed a few points but thats the basis for how they break down hope this helps! tillman Mar 29th, 09, 05:24 PM Nice Rides and good answer.I guess mine is a 69 with a few changes.I sure like your friends 1st gen.really cool. PRO 48 Fleetline Mar 29th, 09, 05:29 PM I know a few people with a 12" tire and mini tubbed and they kinda feel the same way not sure what they have! My answer is you have a Bitchin ride and enjoy it. It's what id call a Street Machine pretty simple and good luck with your build and enjoy keep us posted. Dougs72Nova Mar 29th, 09, 05:30 PM I need help!! I've been told from ProTouring guys that because I don't have 17" wheels and fuel injection that I am not ProTouring. Will somebody help me find where I belong? LOL. Thanks guys! The reason i said i don't believe it would be considered "pro street" is because ot the tire width. I consider "pro street" to have atleast a 14 inch wide tire. I didn't mean anything bad when i said it though. I'm sure everyone has there own "VIEW" of what pro street means. 1969ProStreetCamaro Mar 29th, 09, 05:45 PM 33.0"x19.50"..........Not quite as low as Mike's Camaro(prostreet69camaro)...................... http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/ff229/1969ProStreetCamaro/MVC-001F.jpg?t=1238370029 David F.
