Hey Matt, any must-sees in your area? Just curious, as my relatives live in Bellevue, just off the 405 and Coal Creek Parkway to the SE. I have been out there a few times, but we are coming for a week just around the 4th of July. I have hit the tourist deals, but is there anything else to see?

Oldani-
Funny, I'm just right off of Coal Creek also! I'm actually in Newcastle, just north of Renton.

Not too much to see around here. There are some old abandonded coal mines and such, but you have to take a walk to see them. Actually, there's not much left right now.

If there's anything to see around here, it's in Seattle. Have you taken the Underground tour?

Yep, been there, kind of neat. My uncle has a headhunting firm downtown Bellevue, The Oldani Group. They used to live in the Newport Shores area, about 2 blocks from the lake. They moved on across the 405 to the SE to a smaller house now their kids have grown and left. Can't remember the street name, but you go east and then south up towards the hills. They live near a trail project area, where the power lines run on up the hill. Neat area, I would move there in a heartbeat. Went to the Tacoma Dome years ago, happened to be out there when the state high school football playoffs were going on, and my uncle officiated a game, and I went to it with him. He also was a little league official, and filled in for the United pilot whose plane crashed in Sioux City, Iowa a few years ago, I guess he knows him fairly well. He was doing a live TV interview about filling in for him, and got beaned by a stray ball during the interview, I think they got a copy of the tape from the station, kind of funny. I have been through the Boeing plant in Everett, went up to Victoria, BC for a day, downtown Seattle, etc. I think while we are there, we will go along to San Juan Island with my uncle and aunt as they are taking their employees there for a 4th of July picnic deal or something. A bud of mine from back here worked at Tramco there in Everett, across the field from the Boeing plant at one time too.

Charlie,

If you want us to really check out your site, you're gonna have to remove the picture of the nice looking girl. It's funny how no one (including myself) seems to make it past her

Actually you do have a very nice site. Nice looking Camaro as well. I couldn't find anything about your setup. Just curious to know what you're running.

Motor is a 13/1 408sbc, But the pistons are .020 in the hole and the combustion chambers are no longer 64cc, so the compression is probley more like 12 something. Dart 220 Heads and Dart Wilson Intake with a 950 hp gas carb. Stock suspenion with boxed lower controll arms and a rear weld in sway bar from http://www.wolferacecraft.com/pages/F-body_part/fbswaybar.htm Rear end is a bolt in 9" from Moser that uses the stock torque arm with 4.72 gears on 28x10.5x15 in. M/T slicks. To much gear, but thats what I have for now. Tranny is a 350. Hooker Super Comp headers with 3" ex. with Hooker Areo Chamber mufflers.

charlie, cool site, and very impressive performance, gotta love the 400's, dont ya. graemlins/thumbsup.gif . hey oldani, some ideas on stuff to do in the area, if you like sports, go check out the mariners, (hopefully they will be in town) that stadium is sweet for watching games. if your into pretty scenery, the san juans are a for sure, as is the olympic peninsula, a way cool drive, and take a ferry out of seattle (the boat) , which is always a cool ride. also you are only 15-20 minutes from a local track when in renton, not sure whats going on around then, but bound to be something. come check out some of our local talent. if you've been there, bremerton has a cool little hole in the wall track too, its real old school, fun to watch races at though. there is really no shortage of stuff to do, depends on your interests. oh yeah, when you head home, make sure and tell everyone it rained the whole time ;) .

68rs, funny you mention the rain deal. Seems like that is the biggest myth there is about Seattle! My folks considered a move to there in the early '80's, to be closer to family, but my mom didn't think she could stand the "rainy, gloomy winters". And to think they stayed here.......with over 30" of snow in December alone 2 years ago....oh well.

Please fill us in on whom the video chic is?
I've been following you on the DRR site.
Also, any word on the big race between you and the other racer, whom drives a chevelle?

I am deeply saddened as I can't get the videos to run on my computer, how rude !
I keep getting a internal apllication error message. Even when I hold my tongue out the side of my mouth and say the F word (which usually works when trying to start the vehicles) nothing!!!! graemlins/clonk.gif

Hi Charlie, question. Did installing the rear sway bar alone make the car launch that much different. It looks like it really straightened the car up on launch. smile.gif

10.90streetcar
Mar 4th, 03, 06:42 PM
Yes , the rear sway bay made a BIG diffrence. That was the only changed made in the two pics you see. No more twist. Nice level launch.
