I have been looking through all the different front subframes for the 67-69 camaros and just can't decide on which one is better. They are all with in 1-3k of each other.

A little info:

I have a 67 SS 350 I will be putting a LS1 based 427 in with 2" American racing headers and a T56. Also still be able to use the stock F-body oil pan and some of the accesories. I want to install the new BMR torque arm set when it is released. I want the car to have a lower stance and be a good in the corners.

I was looking at the Chris Alstons or the Art Morrison for a little more $. Not sure I want to spend the extra for a Detriot speed.

Any guidance on quality, fit, performance would be great.

Thanks
Kurt

A good thread you may want to start with...

The Art Morrison will let you use the stock F body accessories and oil pan. It also one of the best performing subframes out there - AME, DSE and Jake's seem to be regarded as the top contenders.

My AME went together with an LS motor without a hitch. Not sure if it will work with those headers though, I used the AME headers.

I think I am leaning towards the DSE frame know after talking to the techs at AME and DSE. AME is unsure if the ARH will fit and also the new BMR torque arm set up won't match up with their subframe. The DSE subframe will clear the headers and LS1 accessories as well as work with the BMR set up.

Also since we are on subframe - I can't find my link anymore but I need a tublular subframe for my other 67 back half car that will be a drag car.
