Hey guys,

I just bought a 95 Z28 6-speed car. It has exhaust and a few bolt ons.

I'm thinking about buying a set of 4.10 gears to make it faster without spending a lot of money.

Is this too low for a daily driver? How will this affect crusing in 6th on the interstate?

General rule for 4th gen F-body

Auto cars are best with 3.73

6-speed cars will like 4.10

the 6th is .50 which is really too high, I had a 98 with 6 speed and 4.10's and sixth was somewhat usable. You can go crazy low with that double overdrive. Divide your rearend gear by two to get your final drive ratio. 4.10's would be like having 2.05's in an old 4 speed trans with no overdrive....see what i mean? I say go 4.30's or 4.56's.
