I just had to work around the TC site log in, to post an answer and hoping someone can tell me whats the likely cause so I straighten it out. I was already viewing a post as a guest and tried to log in to post, I got the redirect screen but showed me as guest afterwards and could not post. Tried that several times no joy. Then tried closing the TC site and coming back logging on as soon as on site still no joy, after redirect screen still showing not logged in. Next closed all browsers cleared cache and cookies etc. restarted browser came to TC logged in on 1st screen, after redirect showed me as logged in, click on the thread I was going to reply on, the page changed and I'm no longer logged in:confused:. So went through the process again this time once it showed me as logged in I went to my user cp and moved around a little without going into any threads initially then went to the same thread and posted a reply, finally worked. Any ideas on what would cause this to happen?

It sounds like your security settings are too high. Specifically the cookie settings.

In IE, top bar, click on Tools > Internet Options > Security - anything over Medium could cause this. While there, click [sites] and add www.camaros.net to the allowed list.

Also, make sure the [ ] remember me box is checked when you login.

Hope this helps.

Hi Al,

I'm using Firefox haven't touched IE in years. The thing is set up to clear all data inc. cookies when I close firefox. This is a new problem for me, I just took the system down formatted the hard drives and reinstalled my OS(little spring cleaning). I have set all my Firefox setting to the same as before taking my system down. Prior to doing the clean up had no issues. I do have remember me checked. I guess I could also mention this is my laptop and is running the exact same OS and Firefox settings as my house system(no issues with the desktop). WINXP pro 64bit. But you got me thinking about my security software which gave me a little hiccup after my reinstall, have look into e-protect a little deeper. Thanks.

I use Firefox all the time, no issues with it here. It has to be settings in firefox or your XP or your anti virus system? Im not a computer guru but sounds like something is putting a brick under your tire there.
