Hello I am trying to find out some info for a non computor friend . He just got a 1981 Z28 .with the Red on red 4 gear 350 (canadian)He was told by the guy that did his apprasel for insurance That it is a very rare combo.Does anyone out there know how to find out How many red on red cars were made ? any info would be helpfull thank you I hope im in the right place on your sight for this query.

The 'Red-on-Red' probably doesn't make it all that rare - but, being a Canadian Z28 does, to some extent...
All US sold Z28's were equiped with a TH350 - only export and Canadian models allowed the 4-speed to be ordered.
You can contact the GM Canada Documentation center to get a portfolio on that car.
They will need the VIN and a small payment.

I would think being a true Z, how it is optioned, the amount of miles, and what cond it is in makes the diff... not so much the paint/interior combo.
