I went to drop the steering column so I could slide out the auto pedal setup but the column doesn't drop much, not enough to clear the studs so I can remove the pedal support. I don't want to force anything. Is it necessary to unbolt the coupler by the steering box? Thought I would tackle this while the seats are out. TIA.

Are you just replacing the pedal or the whole pedal support?

why change the pedal support?
Pull the pin, toss the auto brake, slip in the clutch pedal and new brake pedal, good to go.

Darn you, Jim. Now I can't over complicate this :)

Thanks.

If you are still wanting to take the whole assembly out, you'll probably have to loosen the clamp/remove the plate at the firewall that the column goes through.
