How much do you think a shop will charge to install after market A/C on a First Gen???

I installed a Classic Auto Air system in my 70 Corvette. It took me the majority of a weekend and I would guess, in total, about 12 hours of hitting it hard to get it in and ready for a charge of freon. Multiply a shop rate of $75.00/hr and that comes out to $900.00.
I installed my system with few problems, so I would suggest doing it yourself. Even if I had the bucks to hire someone, I would still do the job myself. It was a straighforward job and came out looking and working great. This isnt that difficult a modification. Just leave plenty of time to do it right. :thumbsup:
