You can buy it directly from Vintage Air or from a number of distributors. If you want a custom setup like I ordered, it would benefit you to order direct. I have the evaporator and controls for a 69 and the engine compartment setup (hard lines) for a 67 - 68 (I mounted the A/C on the right and the alternator on the left. I deleted the brackets, ordered the polished compressor and enough Aeroquip stainless lines and stainless fittings to finish off a nice install. They are great people to work with.

I bought mine from this guy on egay.I spoke with them over the phone and it was very pleasant. Just realize that you will wait several weeks by ordering thru him.His prices can't be beat if you are patient. I am still waiting for mine to ship.

As for custom kits, we do many custom kits. Almost every one of the 100 kits a year we sell for Camaros are custom.

As for the Street Rod E bay guy with no Camaros on his website, if you want to support a non forum sponser for a $60 difference...................................inste ad of a Camaro expert with 23 current Camaro projects and 100s of Camaro projects under his belt, and that supports the Team Camaro community.......................

Well, it is $60 after all!

1. I didn't intend to ruffle any feathers.
2. I haven't recieved the product yet
3.It wasn't a difference of $60.

I paid $1079.00 total. Free shipping,no tax.

I would have ordered it thru Firewheel Classics which is local for me,whom I support because I can walk in his showroom and handle what I am buying. His cost starts at the $1295.00 + approx $90.00 shipping + 8.25% sales tax..to = $1491.00. which is hopefully a $400.00 savings.

Was it worth it? I don't know yet. BTW I bought the last one direct from VA and it isn't any cheaper. They aren't supporting this site are they?

No biggy, we pay the shipping on our kits. The seller now has $30 flat rate shipping so it makes it $1189 + $30 is $1219, so I guess it is $76.

Anyway, I don't think he builds Camaros, at least not based on his projects on his website. We install a lot of Camaro units, if you hit a snag you welcome to call us for info, no matter where you bought it. No hard feeling here. there are plenty of people that will go to E Bay to save the money. We avoid E bay and those price wars.

this guy seems to actually have a brick and morter business, bt many e bayers are pajama retailers doing this from their living room with now shop or overhead, just looking to make a few bucks here and there.

If something is a total no service, no tech required product, maybe not a bad deal. I bought Dynamat off E Bay today, but I doubt I will need any tech help. But with something like a A/C install. I bet I talk to at least half my buyers during the install.

Hindsight is 20/20 . I guess I should have started this thread two weeks ago. LOL . I would have been more comfortable ordering from you.I am usually leary of the pajama salemen like you stated. Most people are just making a buck on there by being the middle man. From everything I have read this Gen IV is much improved over the old units.

You will love the system. It will take you about 20 hours to install, give or take a few hours. The instructions are very clear and the equipment is top notch.
