Hi all,
looking for some general assembly help with regards to the upper control arms and upper ball joint. The ball joint goes thru the hole on the control arm .. and then what? Does the rubber bushing go on and then then metal retainer like i have it pictured here? Or is it the other way around?

I just installed mine the same way as you have pictured. There is a lip on the rubber boot that is held in place by the metal housing. If I'm wrong it looks like I will have to redo mine too.

So if I got this right I should;

1) drop the ball joint into the hole from the top
2) put the rubber boot on the ball joint from underneath
3) put the metal sleeve over the rubber boot from underneath
4) put the bolts in through the top & bolt it down. ??
