I've installed several of the Taurus fans. We use the full 2-speed setup on our road racer and it is very efficient. The low speed seems to provide sufficient cooling except for the most extreme heat.

Had one of these fans in my small block S10. It worked great. Wired it through a relay with 180 degree fan swich. Truck never overheated. Of course, I never told anyone I had a Ford part on my Chevy! Hee Hee!

Mark VIII; definitely beats the LS-1 dual fans (which aren't bad to begin with. Supposed to out-flow the Taurus and Windstar versions also. I'm going to run the Mark VIII (again) on my twin turbo with a PRC radiator. Very nice setup.

Mark VIII. For the money it's hard to beat.

The new '98 up versions are single speed, but that's no biggie.

As far as width goes they are tailor made for a 1st gen. Depth gets touchy with a long waterpump and may require some shroud trimming. On my short pump setup there's plenty of clearance without trimming.

Three of the four Ford factory mounting tabs can be used but some fabrication work is needed. The fourth (upper LH) is a bit cumbersome. Trimming it off and fabbing a lower profile bracket is easy. Standard aftermarket brackets will work as well.

The silly Ford electrical plug is expensive! Rockauto.com may have them for less than the dealership. Part number WPT-168 or 1U2Z-14S411-ADA
