BelAirBob Apr 5th, 09, 03:29 PM Can someone help me decode this rearend that is supposed to be out of a #'s matching Z Rearend: 3894860NF Is NF a proper suffix? The 3894860 rear is the correct casting number. Not sure what "NF" actually means, but its a correct 67-69 Camaro 12 bolt rear. Got axle codes? bertfam Apr 5th, 09, 03:42 PM "NF" stands for Pearlitic Nodular Iron. Ed Fuzzyhall Apr 5th, 09, 05:55 PM Belair, no axle codes thus far. Thanks for the help Bob and Ed I appreciate it. Ed Kurt S Apr 5th, 09, 10:22 PM I think it stands for Nodular Ferrous. Vintage 68 Apr 6th, 09, 12:20 PM I thought it meant Non Ferrous as in cast iron.
